Part-time Office/Community Investment Assistant

The Office/Community Investment (CI) Assistant is responsible for supporting the Community Investment team and covering the front desk and on a part-time basis.  This person will be an integral and long-term part of the team. The hours are Monday-Friday 8am-1pm.

Main Scope:

  • Partial front desk coverage- act as the face of L+M Development Partners, interacting with staff, members, visitors, donors, service providers etc.; answer phones and mail room operations (pick-up, delivery & distribution)
  • Meetings – coordinate meeting space usage and logistics, including scheduling, room set-up/take-down, and set-up/trouble-shooting technological needs (presentations, audio-visual, etc.)
  • Ensure common areas are monitored and kept stocked, tidy, clean, and orderly
  • Manage all steps of annual grantee process from preparation of grant agreements through execution
  • Manage all aspects of gala involvement, including payment, invitations, deliverables and communication
  • Manage L+M’s Milestone Giving program, including determining employee and organization eligibility, requesting payment and processing paperwork
  • Maintain Salesforce CI database


  • Perform duties under general supervision and established guidelines
  • Work as part of a team to identify solutions and solve problems to ensure a smoothly functioning office
  • Demonstrate sensitivity in handling confidential information
  • Work environment may involve minor physical exertion and/or strain

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Punctuality is a must
  • Experience using MS Office programs and Windows operating environment
  • Experience organizing time and managing diverse activities to meet deadlines
  • Experience performing a variety of administrative processes
  • Experience working and communicating with a wide range of people

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Previous office experience a plus
  • Experience using database management / a plus
  • Strong time management, organizational and administrative skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service skills and focus
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and common-sense approach
