L+M Development Partners, Toll Brothers Apartment Living, and Goldman Sachs Urban Investment Group have formed a joint venture to deliver Banner Lane/Sursum Corda Redevelopment (Phase I), the first of a multi-phase project to be constructed on the nearly seven-acre site. Located at the intersection of Shaw, Mount Vernon and NoMa, the project is poised to take advantage of all the activity that these three neighborhoods offer. Two buildings containing approximately 560 units, a portion of which will be available to former Sursum Corda households, and a robust package of amenities, are planned for the first phase. A landscaped pedestrian promenade bisecting both buildings will engage a private street to the north and will lead to a monumental staircase to the south, concluding in a community park.
