L+M Development Partners, BRP Development, the Prusik Group and Taconic Partners are developing The National Urban League project, a large mixed-use development on 125th Street in Harlem. The project is structured as a ground lease with the Empire State Development Corporation, a state public benefit corporation. The base of the 200-foot-high development will contain retail, including a Trader Joe’s and Target, a new home for the National Urban League (including office space and a conference center) and the Northeast’s first civil rights museum.

There will also be approximately 70,000 square feet of to-be-leased office space. The residential tower will be accessible from 126th Street and contain 171 affordable housing units. A portion of the units will be reserved for youth aging out of foster care, with social support provided by The Foundling, a venerable NYC organization.
