Stephen Bonasera

Senior Vice President, Preconstruction

Stephen Bonasera serves as a Partner and Senior Vice President of Preconstruction at L+M Development Partners, where he leads a dedicated team that oversees projects from initial feasibility through to construction. He brings strong design risk assessment and cost management skills to the team and his leadership fosters a collaborative environment, ensuring that each project’s planning incorporates all facets of its intended use.

Since joining L+M in 2008, Stephen has played a pivotal role in the successful execution of over 80 residential and mixed-use development projects. He has assembled a specialized team focused on predevelopment and preconstruction planning, which has cultivated expertise in innovative, sustainable, and resilient development practices, including adherence to passive housing standards.

Before his tenure at L+M, Stephen managed commercial, residential, and institutional projects in the New York Metro area while working with Triton Construction. In this role, he provided clients with insights on project costs and design feasibility.

Stephen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in structural engineering and environmental engineering from the University of Maryland’s A. James Clark College of Engineering.
