Our team joined together for a day of service in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy in support of Win (Women in Need). L+M volunteers at our Manhattan and Larchmont offices created 200 wellness packages for the Win community members. Packages included toothbrushes, toothpaste, disposable razors, deodorant, and feminine hygiene products. Our volunteers also handwrote special notes of positivity and added one to each wellness package.
Win is the largest provider of family and supportive housing in New York City. They provide safe housing, critical services, and innovative programs to unhoused women and their children. Win is also our community partner on the Marcus Garvey Extension Building B, a 96-unit affordable housing development that includes 52 new supportive apartments for formerly homeless families in Brownsville, Brooklyn.
